  • Willis Richardson compiled his first anthology, Core CollectionPlays and Pageants from the Life of the Negro.

  • Two of Thelma Myrtle Duncan’s plays, “Sacrifice” and “Black Magic” were published in Core CollectionPlays and Pageants from the Life of the Negro.

  • Addison Scurlock initiated and operated a newsreel on African American activities for the Lichtman chain of Washington theatres.
